LANGKAWI CLASS

LANGKAWI Class ship is a ship type Ronda Coastal Offshore (OPV) has entered Navy service in 1987. The ship has served for 19 years in the navy. Ship was forfeited credentials on June 23, 06 with full ceremonial navy handed over to the MMEA on the same date. Ships sailed MMHE Pasir Gudang Shipyard for overhaul. Began to enter service in early 2008 MMEA and placed under surveillance WILTIM, however deployment vessel operated by the Maritime Control Center PUTRAJAYA Headquarters. Using the name of a large island that correspond to neighboring countries.
MARLIN CLASS

Vessel History

KM MARLIN is a training ship that had been presented by The Nippon Foundation, Japan to the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency. Ship was launched on 30 January 2006 and was to be completed in March 2006. A total of 10 members of the MMEA was commissioned to bring back the ship to Malaysia. Ships sailed from Naha, Japan on 4 April 2006 and arrived in Port Klang 14 Apri 2006. Naming ceremony and reception were held at KM MARLIN National Hydrographic Centre on 1 June 2006 with completion by Datin Rosmah Mansor, wife, daughter of the Deputy Prime Minister. KM MARLIN placed under the supervision of the MMEA Training center based in Kuantan, Pahang.

GAGAH CLASS

Vessel History

Vessel Class Gagah (ex PZ) is PZ class patrol ship that has entered the Services, Marine Police Force in 1980. The vessel has spent 26 years in the Marine Police Force. Ships have been delivered to the MMEA in stages beginning in June 2005 through June 2006. 15 of PZ has been submitted and has started operations in November 2005. Vessel Class Gagah using the name of the leader.

SIPADAN CLASS  
KM Sipadan 

Vessel History

SIPADAN Class (ex PC) is a patrol boat that had entered the navy in the Services, from 1964 to 1968. The ship has served for 42 years in the navy. Ships have been delivered to the MMEA in stages beginning in June 2005 through June 2006. 15 PCs were delivered and commenced operations in November 2005. SIPADAN Class Vessel is the name of the small islands that are national waters.
