INTERPOL LITMUS PROJECT - CRBNE

KUANTAN, 19 October - Maritime Academy Sultan Ahmad Shah (AMSAS) and INTERPOL today successfully cooperating in the INTERPOL-PROJECT litmus CRBNE. The project is a training law enforcement operations aimed to enhancing the capabilities and skills of the authorities in taking initial action cases, identify, investigate, and prosecute wrongdoing use of chemical agents. The next objective of this training is to detect and identify the presence of toxic and explosive chemical agents abused by criminals and criminal gangs.
 
PROJECT INTERPOL LITMUS-CRBNE was inaugural held by an academy in cooperation with INTERPOL runs from 19 to 23 October 2015. The compliment was given to AMSAS because the INTERPOL has choose this organisation to be one of the course platform organiser, and in line with the AMSAS intention to become a Training Institute under the Malaysian Technical Corporation Program and a National Institute of Public Training with the AMSAS future project to be the Maritime Centre of Excellence in the region.
 
With the total of twenty-four officers participants from Pakistan Police, six officers from Royal Malaysia Police  and two officers of the  Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency has attended the course. Also presents at the course was First Admiral Datuk Mohd Taha Ibrahim, AMSAS Director of Education and Training, the representatives from Pakistan Consulate in Kuala Lumpur and representatives from NCB.
